Get ready for Foam Brain's Halloween-themed mystery loot box featuring monster mask enamel pins and a rare Tarrasque D20. Here's what's inside and how it works.
Quick answer
The Mystery Loot: Monster Masquerade is a Halloween-themed mystery box from Foam Brain Games that includes one monster mask enamel pin (from a set of 7 designs) and a D20, with a chance to pull a rare antique gold Tarrasque D20 and matching pin.
What makes this loot different from other mystery dice boxes?
Unlike standard mystery dice sets that focus only on dice, Monster Masquerade pairs a themed enamel pin with a D20, giving you a collectible pin and a usable die in one package. The Halloween masquerade theme adds a seasonal twist, and the rare Tarrasque variant in antique gold is a standout for collectors.
Are there any trade-offs?
You only get one pin and one die per box, so if you're hoping for a full set of dice or multiple pins, you'll need to buy several boxes. The random nature means you might not get your favorite monster mask design on the first try. Also, the rare Tarrasque variant is uncommon, so don't expect it in every purchase.
Frequently asked questions
- How many items are in each box?
- Each Mystery Loot: Monster Masquerade box contains one Monster Mask Enamel Pin (from a set of 7 designs) and one D20. The rare Tarrasque variant includes both a D20 and a matching pin in antique gold.
- What are the chances of getting the rare Tarrasque variant?
- Foam Brain does not publish exact odds, but the Tarrasque D20 and pin in antique gold are described as a rare find. It is not guaranteed in any single box. If you want the rare variant, consider buying multiple boxes, but be prepared for duplicates.
- Can I choose which monster mask pin I get?
- No. The pin is random from the 7 available designs. You cannot select a specific mask, so each box is a surprise.
- Is this loot box worth it for RPG players?
- If you enjoy themed collectibles and don't mind the randomness, the $11.34 price (compared to $18.00 retail value) offers a fun Halloween surprise. However, if you need a full dice set or a specific pin, you may prefer buying individual items instead. Great for casual collectors or Halloween-themed game nights, but not ideal for players needing a complete dice set.
